Bogense

Experience Bogense, a cozy old Danish harbor village, located on the top of the island Funen.

Bogense

Bogense is an old and cozy village which was granted special trading rights by King Erik Menved in 1288. The city is especially exciting in summer time with its many small stores and activities ranging from markets to various musical events, such as; Bogense by Night, The Rose Festival & Jazz on the harbor.

In the exciting harbor environment around Lunds Hotel, which consists of an old fishing harbor that now has become a sort of small southern harbor promenade on North Funen, you can find; a number of nice restaurants, Fyn’s largest yacht marina, and boats of all sizes sailing in and out. Take a walk through the cozy old harbor, or enjoy the summer by taking a dive in the new harbor bath just 50m. away from Lunds Hotel, or take a trip to the beach.

A stay in Bogense can also be combined with golf at H.C. Andersen Golf, sailing trips with the good old wooden ship ‘Castor’, walks to the Æbelø island or other nature experiences on North Funen. City trips to Odense with visits to the Zoo or similar daytrips which only is a 30min drive away are also great options.
